He garnered a major lead of 927 votes over his nearest competitor, Deepika Sharma from the ABVP. Ghosh acquired 2,409 votes, in comparison with Sharma’s 1,482 votes.
In a landslide victory for the Left-backed Birsa Ambedkar Phule Students’ Association (BAPSA), Priyanshi Arya emerged triumphant within the JNUSU normal secretary election. Arya secured a commanding lead of 926 votes over her closest competitor, Arjun Anand of the ABVP. She garnered a complete of 2,887 votes, in comparison with Anand’s 1,961 votes.
The Left secured a clear sweep within the JNUSU elections, with Mohammad Sajid clinching the joint secretary place by a margin of 508 votes, the narrowest victory among the many Left candidates. This win completes the domination of the United Left panel, comprised of AISA, DSF, SFI, and AISF.
The excessive turnout of 73% marked the best pupil participation in JNUSU elections over the previous twelve years, underlining the sturdy engagement with this 12 months’s polls.
