Green Mentors organises 6th NYC Green School Conference in US – Times of India


Green Mentors, an India-based Responsible Education Solution Provider group, efficiently held its 6th NYC Green School Conference-2022 at SUNY Maritime College in New York on September 24, 2022. This was the primary convention on accountable training, and it was held in the course of the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
The convention can also be related to Climate Week NYC, the biggest occasion on local weather on Earth. The theme of the convention was “the importance of accountability to students and the planet.” Many faculties and universities from the US and India took half in the programme.
The attendees and organisers formally launched the Indo-American Green School Network at this convention to speed up sustainability and accountability in training in the world’s oldest and largest democracies. Notably, this convention was held months down the road after India and the US held the two+2 Ministerial Dialogue with the purpose of “building bridges between the people of the two countries by encouraging student and scholar mobility and strengthening cooperation in education and skill development.”
The convention was carried out into eight periods, resembling “Rethinking for Responsible Education,” “Leaders to Learn From,” “SDG 4.7,” and “Inspiring Stories from Outdoor Learning.” Green Awards had been additionally given to recognise individuals and organisations for his or her excellent contributions to sustainable training. The keynote tackle was given by Dilip Chauhan, who’s the Deputy Commissioner of the New York City Office of International Affairs. The Green University Award 2022 was offered to Dr Y S Parmar University of Horticulture & Forestry, Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences, Acharya Nagarjuna University, University of Science and Technology Meghalaya (USTM), University of North Bengal, BLDE, Sankalchand Patel University, Chettinad Academy of Research and Education, Noorul Islam Centre for Higher Education (NICHE), Sudur Pashchimanchal Academy (SPA College), Gopal Krishna Gokhale College, Devki Devi Jain Memorial College for Women, and Anand College of Legal Studies gained the Green College Award 2022. International Green School Award 2022 had been offered to The Green School Bangalore, Mahindra World School, Anand Niketan, The S. D. Vidya School, The Vidya Devi Jindal School, Sanjay Ghodawat International School, Mount litera Zee High School, Titiksha Public School, Pragati Vidyaniketan High School, GMSSSS NIGDHU, Ryan International School, Netrang Govt. School, Vardhaman Universe Academy, ASN Senior Secondary School, Bhagavathi Arvintree School, Tagore International School, Pine Street School, The Long Island School for the Gifted, Montclair Kimberley Academy, Washington Outdoor School, Prince George’s County, Spruce Elementary, PS69X Journey Prep, The Berkeley Carroll School, Suitland Elementary School, Brooklyn Technical High School?, Montpelier Elementary School, Penns Grove High School?, Ivanna Eudora Kean High School, P993Q, Freedom High School. The International Green Teacher Award for 2022 was offered to Dr Nick Pozek, Paige Filla, Abebisi Babayemi, Elisa Margarita, Lauren Angarola, Ben Rich, and Michealrose Ravalier. The Climate Cadet Awards for 2022 had been offered to Gabriel Nagel, Layla Jurow, and Anna Lau-Woodrow.
Based in the Indian state of Gujarat, Green Mentors was based by Rawat, Gopal Goswami, Ambrish Parajiya, and Bhavesh Shah. They say that if we need to change to a greener manner of life, accountable training should embody “transversal” expertise like essential pondering, creativity, empathy, collaborative drawback-fixing, and system pondering.
