Rohtak: Unable to get UGC pay scales regardless of repeated representations, the faculty members of Pandit Lakhmi Chand State University of Performing and Visual Arts, Rohtak (PLCSUPVA) on Tuesday have began a sit-in contained in the campus to get the demand fulfilled.
Indranil Ghosh, president, PLCSUPVA academics’ affiliation mentioned that they’re extremely upset by the administration’s failure to implement the seventh CPC, increments, and promotions within the UPC pay scales for greater than a decade.
He mentioned that whereas the brand new recruits have been provided salaries as per the seventh CPC in UGC pay scales, the present schools members haven’t obtained any profit from this scheme.
“The founding faculty members of the university have been working tirelessly to
create a legacy of academic excellence for the institution. However, it is disheartening to see that their efforts have been undermined by the university administration’s failure in giving out the benefits”, he added.
He mentioned that the founding members have adopted the protest mode in a democratic method to precise their grievances and demand honest remedy for all faculty members.
They demanded the speedy consideration of the federal government and chancellor-cum-governor to take pressing word of their real demand.
