VIJAYAWADA: Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB-SURE). Department of Science and Technology (DST) awarded 10 projects value Rs.2.50 crores to the school of SRM University-AP.
DST obtained a complete of 2000 proposals, of which 466 had been sanctioned. Among the 466 projects, 151 projects had been awarded to Private Universities. Of the 151 projects permitted to state personal universities and faculties all through India, the 5-and-a-half-yr younger varsity was awarded 10 projects.
The grants are meant to assist research in primary and utilized sciences, engineering, and expertise and is often granted for a interval of three years. Prof. Jayaseelan Murugaiyan, Dr Sandeep Singh and Dr Pitchaiah Cherukuri of the Department of Biological Sciences; Dr Sabyasachi Chakrabortty, Dr V S Baswanth Oruganti of the Department of Chemistry; Dr Debabrata Pramanik, Dr Ravi Kumar and Dr Pankaj Bhalla Department of the Department of Physics; Dr Sandeep Kumar Verma of the Department of Mathematics; Dr Uma Maheswar Arepalli of the Department of Civil Engineering; and Dr Kousik Das of the Department of Environmental Science and Engineering had been awarded the grants.
