The United States on Friday (native time) launched airstrikes in Iraq and Syria towards greater than 85 targets allegedly linked to Iran’s Revolutionary Guard (IRGC) and the militias it backs, in retaliation for the drone assault in Jordan final week that killed three US troops. The assault reportedly killed 18 militants in Syria.

The large barrage of strikes launched by the US navy hit targets together with command and management headquarters, intelligence centres, rockets and missiles, drone and ammunition storage websites and different amenities that have been linked to the militants.

Upon launching the assault, US President Joe Biden mentioned, “If you harm an American, we will respond.”
